Immigration Appeal Division (IAD)

Immigration Appeal Division is permitted to hear the decision on Immigration matters in the   following circumstances. 

Sponsorship Appeal

Sponsorship appeals by Canadian citizens and permanent residents whose applications to   sponsor close family members like sponsorship of a child, sponsorship of spouse or partner, sponsorship of other relative / friends to Canada have been refused.    

Removal Order Appeal

Removal Order Appeals by permanent residents, foreign nationals with a permanent resident visa, and protected persons who have been ordered to be removed from Canada.

Loss of PR / Residency obligation appeal

Loss of PR also known as Residency obligations appeals by permanent residents who have been determined not to have fulfilled their residency obligation by an immigration officer outside Canada.
